Devoted is the root word of "devotion "or devout"

EX 13:1-2;11-13
1) Every First born belongs to God
2) It must be sacrified to the Lord by Holy fire
3) It is unclean; you can redeem it with a lamb.
4) Otherwise, its neck is broken
5) If you use it (When unredeemed), it will become an accrsed thing to you .
6) By Giving the first born to God, you're loving and honouring him.
7) Because the first is representative of the rest,God will redeem, protect and prosper what follows.

Principle : what you do with the first born will determine what happens to everything else that follows!
